For two days, the British Race Festival made up for a beautiful mix of fascinating races, extraordinary demos, enthusiastic single-make clubs and the very first Concours d’Alledaags. “We thoroughly enjoyed it”, was a frequently heard comment afterwards.
Circuit Zandvoort was part of the British Empire for the entire week. “You are now leaving the EU”, visitors read on the access road.
The British Race Festival welcomed two ‘all British’ racing classes. The Mini Seven Racing Club entertained the audience with close racing and lots of spectacle, including the occasional lifted 10 inch wheel. The Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club came up with a suggestive grid of mainly XJS models in action.

British Race Festival expanded with Louwman Exclusive Fandays in cooperation with AutoWeek
Louwman Exclusive and AutoWeek are pulling out all the stops for the Fandays on July 8th and 9th. Circuit Zandvoort will soon host a selection of the most extraordinary cars we know because of the renowned showroom of the Netherlands, the Louwman Exclusive along the A2 in Utrecht. Riding along is possible!
The Louwman Exclusive Fandays are a great opportunity to get acquainted with brands like McLaren, Bentley, Morgan, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Maserati and TVR. “We’ll be showing a great selection of our models,” says Louwman Exclusive-director Arjen van Beek. “Our visitors will have the opportunity to take a look at the cars from up close.” For instance, the newest model, the McLaren 720S, will be there. This 720S is the first newcomer in what McLaren calls the Super Series. The car, weighing only 1.238 kilos, can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds; a speed of 200 km/h can be reached in as little as 7.8 seconds.
Louwman Exclusive will also treat all enthusiasts to presentations, for instance on technical details or the background of the cars present. The Louwman Museum will set up two pit boxes with the most photogenic cars from the collection, associated with motorsports. Of course, a selection of models will also get into action on the circuit. Louwman Exclusive fans all make a chance to ride along. Van Beek: “Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more information. Everyone who has liked our page stands a chance to take part in this extraordinary experience.”
Nearly 100 years of supercars
Bernhard van Oranje, owner of Circuit Zandvoort, is pleased with the new event: “The Louwman Exclusive Fandays are a great extension of the British Race Festival. With the line-up of Louwman Exclusive’s today’s top models, the British Race Festival is getting an even more complete programme. We already had a really varied race programme, including the Vintage Revival, an event that focuses on supercars from the ‘20s and ‘30s from the last century. The Louwman Exclusive Fandays allow us to also showcase modern supercars. We’re now expecting to appeal to an even wider audience.”
AutoWeek is the official media partner of the Louwman Exclusive Fandays. Aside from devoting attention to the event in their magazine and online, the AutoWeek editorial team will also be present on site during the event.
Entrance to the event starts at €15. A day ticket to the British Race Festival, including the Louwman Exclusive Fandays, is only €15 during the presales. For €25 you have access to the event all weekend. Children 12 years old and younger get a 50% discount. Tickets are available at www.circuitzandvoort.nl and www.britishracefestival.nl.
